Researcher
Sabina Guliyeva
İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, MSc in Medical Biology (2022 – 2025)
Responsible for carrying out cellular and molecular analyses and for preparing project proposals and ethics committee applications.
About
Sabina carries out NeoPreklinik's cytotoxicity assays, molecular analyses and reporting. She completed her BSc in Genetics and Bioengineering at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, ranking first in her department and second in the Faculty of Engineering. She completed her MSc in Medical Biology at İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa with a thesis on head and neck cancer.
Her laboratory experience covers cytogenetic applications as well as cellular and molecular biology methods. In the course of her training and research she has worked on cell culture, flow cytometry, Western blot, gene expression analysis, three-dimensional (3D) tumour spheroid models, apoptosis, cell cycle and reactive oxygen species (ROS) measurements. She has also gained experience in chromosome preparation, G-banding, karyotyping and fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH).
In addition, she takes part in the administrative work of preparing and running scientific research projects, including project applications and ethics committee files.
