Molecular Biologist
Zeynep Geçit
Biruni University, Molecular Biology and Genetics (2022 – ongoing)
Takes part in cell culture processes and in vitro cytotoxicity and molecular analysis work.
About
Zeynep takes part in NeoPreklinik's cell culture processes and molecular analysis work. She is a final-year student of Biruni University's Molecular Biology and Genetics programme, taught entirely in English.
Her laboratory experience covers mammalian cell culture, in vitro cytotoxicity and molecular analysis protocols, experimental design and data analysis. During her internship at the Pharmacognosy Laboratory of the University of Graz in Austria, she worked on cell culture operations (seeding, passaging, freezing and thawing), dose planning and MTT viability assays, as well as Western blot, flow cytometry and gene knockdown studies.
She was the team captain of Nad+Gen, which reached the finals of the Teknofest Biotechnology Innovation Competition with a gene editing project targeting ALS. She is the founding president of Biruni University's Rare Diseases Society (BiNadir).
